PBDEs going down

Nearly nine years after chemical companies voluntarily stopped manufacturing PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers), a small study has found that pregnant Californians showed a sharp decline in concentrations of PBDEs, which are persistent and bioaccumulative and are toxic to the endocrine and nervous systems.
