Skanska First With ISO 14001 Certification

ISO 14001 requires establishment and maintenance of an environmental management system that consists of standards and procedures by which a company monitors and continually improves its environmental performance on every level.

Consistent with other ISO standards, which focus on a process for improvement rather than specific achievements, ISO 14001 does not set any absolute benchmarks for performance. To achieve the three-year certification, companies must be audited by a third-party registrar to make sure that they comply with all elements of the standards.
