Resilience Is Scaling Up

With more and more cities developing resilience plans, investment in climate adaptation is becoming mainstream.

October 29, 2012. Hurricane Sandy made landfall in the U.S., causing at least 53 deaths and wreaking havoc for days in New York City with blackouts, flooding, and fires. Suddenly, with climate change literally hitting home for millions of its citizens, the City started paying attention; it immediately began adopting new zoning and building codes to address resilience.
