Groundbreaking Products from Greenbuild 2018

Every year, we spend hours walking through the Greenbuild Expo hall looking for exciting innovations and products that could potentially transform the building industry. This year’s selection did not disappoint, and included thermally broken cladding systems, high-performance roof insulation, turnkey HVAC water-recycling systems, new glazing, and more.

CL-Talon cladding support system

The CL-Talon lightweight cladding support system uses an aluminum frame and strategically placed polyamide structural thermal breaks to reduce energy transfer through the building envelope. The system is up to 91% effective against thermal bridging, according to the company. Its aluminum track can be adjusted onsite and can even be preassembled for faster installation. CL-Talon can incorporate from 2" to 8" of insulation and can be used for stone, terra-cotta, and other common cladding materials. The company’s systems can also be used for building interiors and ceilings.
