The Children’s Hospital Ambulatory Care facility in New Orleans was faced with a retrofit-or-build-new decision on a 60,000 ft2 facility spread over three dated 1960s buildings. The operations officials at the Children’s Hospital were driven by the desire to funnel every dime they have into patient care. “Green” wasn’t on their radar.
