50 United Nations Plaza in San Francisco is an example of a historic “deep green” retrofit that ultimately earned LEED Platinum. The design team circled back with the client throughout the design process to evaluate whether the best sustainable solution was to salvage what was already there or to replace with newer, more efficient systems and technology.
