Yes I do! I find products for LEED v4 or the LBC Red List to be a real good topics to do a research paper on. As soon as I start my researh and outline some results I will share with you on forum how everything is going.

A Virtual Mastermind Group for Material Vetting
Want help researching and screening products for LEED v4 or the LBC Red List? Use this forum to share your questions and frustrations as well as your successes and advice.
Our recent webcast, Deep Material Vetting That Won’t Chew Through Your Design Budget, included a “homework” assignment: Chris and Scott of Re:Vision Architecture asked everyone to vet three to five materials they’re considering using in a current project.
Expecting that this exercise would lead to frustrations as well as triumphs, we have set aside this space as a forum for you to share how your research is going. Whether your project is pursuing WELL, LEED, Living Building Challenge, a different certification, or no certification at all, let’s help each other out and make the process easier for everyone.
Be kind, and good luck!

Natural fiber Wool Insulation
Is any one looking at all natural fibers as insulation? Healthy homes are a market we deal with as a manufacturer of All Natural Fiber insulation. Sheep's Wool and blends of Sheep, Alpaca, Llama insulation batts are popular with our Customers because of there great R-Values, renewability and no VOC's to worry about.
Front End
For folks doing LBC projects, have you written a custom front end to your spec and custom contract for your design services?
Are model versions of these specialized legal documents produced by LBC?
Thanks,
Andy
Custom Division 01
Andy - I'm an architectural specification writer, working on several LBC projects at the moment. I'm working on developing a custom Division 01 for my projects - very challenging! My projects are all different; two are healthy homes with 'no Red List' requirements; one is LBC all the way; and one is LEED Platinum/LBC all the way.
I don't believe there are any model versions available yet. As for contracts, others my have some input on that issue.
How does a firm break into the LBC market?
I would love to see more folks doing LBC projects. However, as designers, we often have big ideas yet limited control of the purse strings.
There are obviously both construction and design premiums that are incurred in LBC projects.
Does anyone have rules of thumb that would help me quantify for my clients what the expected construction cost premium might be for a LBC project over, say, LEED Silver 2009?
Does anyone have rules of thumb that would help me quantify for my bosses what the expected *design* labor cost premium might be for an architecture firm / how quickly the design process can be completed? (Seems everyone wants to be fast-tracked these days...)
Thank you!
Andy
