Presenters

Beginning with a career with historic preservation and adaptive re-use projects, Scott's interest in creating sustainable and enduring buildings led him to found Re:Vision in 2002. Under Scott's leadership, Re:Vision’s interdisciplinary team has designed or consulted on hundreds of innovative green projects, including 30 LEED Platinum projects.

Scott is a champion of green building standards and verifications, including LEED, Living Building Challenge, Net-Zero Energy Building Certification, Sustainable SITES Initiative, and Passive House. He was longtime Chair of Philadelphia AIA Committee on the Environment, is Senior Fellow within Philadelphia University’s Sustainable Design program, and is a founding Board Member of the Philadelphia Living Building Challenge Collaborative.

Chris supports project documentation and visualizations and leads Re:Vision’s Living Building research, with a special focus on material toxicity. He knows a staggering amount about the chemical make-up of our built environment, and what he doesn’t know, he knows how to find out.

Chris is a Living Building Challenge Ambassador through ILFI and continues his advocacy with the Philadelphia Living Building Challenge Collaborative. He is also an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University, teaching a course on sustainable technologies for architecture.

Paula Melton, LEED AP BD+C, is Managing Editor at BuildingGreen, where she writes feature articles, blog posts, and product reviews on a variety of sustainable design topics.
