NESEA Calls for Zero-Energy Buildings

The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) has developed the Zero-Energy Building Award program to recognize energy-efficient projects designed for the Northeast climate. To be eligible, buildings must be located in the Northeast (including New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland), be occupied, and document net-zero energy use for one year. Sponsored by the Acacia Fund, the program offers a $10,000 cash prize. Entries are due January 15, 2007. The winner will be announced in March 2007. Details are online at www.zeroenergybuilding.org.
