Green Seal Announces Appliance Standards

Green Seal, a nonprofit environmental labeling organization, certifies products that cause significantly less harm to the environment than common alternatives. Green Seal contracts with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., to test products against environmental claims. Publishing standards is the final step Green Seal must complete before it can begin to certify products, so in the near future consumers can expect to see the Green Seal emblem on some complying appliances.
